The Red Buffalo currently is home to 25 horses. They are Amber, Bailey, Belle, Big Red, Black Jack, Bolt, Booker, Chance, Chip, Cincinnati (Cince), Curley, Darby, Dyno, Easey, Jedi, Luna, Piper, Pro, Splash, Star, Texas, Traveler, Tuffy, Ty and Zach. This part of the site is still under construction, so we will be putting up more pictures when they come in.

          Belle

This is Belle our 1998 16 hand Belgian Mare. She is used for more experienced riders because she knows how big she is. Belle came to us in an interesting way, she was going to be sent to slaughter, but the ASPCA noticed that she had to duck her head to enter the trailer, that is illegal in PA, and so she was seized. One of the officers knew of Mike Marino, and that is how she came to RBR. That was two years ago, and she has come a long way. Belle is ridden by our larger customers, and she is an extremely comfortable ride. Her nickname around the ranch is "the moving couch."

          Curly

This is Curly, she is a 1983 chestnut Arabian mare. She is on the smaller side, and is a favorite with the kids because of it. Curly was born at RBR, and then sold to a friend of Mike's. Eventually she returned to RBR, and she has made quite an impression on all of our hearts. After she returned to us, she had an accident in the field which left us with an extremely difficult decision, either remove her right eye or put her to sleep. We chose to let her live, and we are all very glad because she has become a valuable asset to RBR. Curly can handle riders of any size or experience level. She has a big heart, and will be happy to let you in.

          Zach

Zach is a 2002 rose grey Arabian Gelding. Zach was purchased at the New Holland Horse Auction in Lancaster, PA in 2004. He is a member of Red Buffalo Ranch’s endurance team and has competed in a handful of races. Zach was trained and first ridden at Red Buffalo.

           Dyno

This is Dyno, he is considered a flea-bitten gray Arabian, because of his speckled coat. Dyno was born in 1991. Dyno is Mike Marino's personal riding horse, but he is also ridden by employees. Dyno is currently involved in Endurance Racing. Gabe is now riding Dyno in endurance and they have been very successful. Dyno has been here for many years, he is a member of the RBR family, and he has definitely earned his keep.

           Bolt

This is Bolt, a 2002 Paint horse. The Red Buffalo got him from New Holland Horse Auction in Lancaster, PA. When he first came here, he had never even been ridden before. But thanks to a lot of hard work and many long hours, Bolt has become a great riding horse. When you first meet Bolt, he is a bit shy, but becomes very friendly after he gets to know you. Bolt is a one of a kind horse and when you meet him we guarantee you will agree.

           Pro

Pro is 1982 chestnut Russian Arabian. His parents came from a great blood line. Pro was supposed to follow in their footsteps as an endurance racer, but he had a tendon injury early on that prevented him from continuing his racing career. He has been at RBR for many years and he is the horse used most often. Pro can be ridden by riders of all experience levels.

           Cincinnati(BG Aashar)

Congratulations Daryl and Cince for winning the Old Dominion 100 Mile Race for 2005 and for Best Condition in 2006.

Cince a 1998 chestnut Arabian. He is an endurance race horse ridden by Daryl, one of RBR's employees. He has been racing for a number of years. This is a picture of him in the Old Dominion 50 mile race a few years ago, with his rider Daryl. RBR got him at New Holland Horse Auction, and we were extremely surprised to find out that he was originally bred at a very prestigious Arabian breeding barn. His blood lines are that of a very high standard, and they show through in his looks and performance. Cince is very upbeat and energetic, and he has a very affectionate personality to humans. He and Daryl have a blast taking customers out on rides and telling stories about their races together.

           Blackjack

Blackjack is a dark bay Arabian in his late teens. Blackjack is easily the favorite of our more experienced campers. Blackjack can be ridden by anyone, but he has a little bit of spunk when it comes to going fast, and he LOVES to jump. Our experienced campers love riding Blackjack because he is easy to handle but at the same time, he can keep up with their ability. Blackjack is a classic Arabian conformation. He has a dish face with soft eyes, and his tail is always held up high. His riding ability and his good looks are what make Blackjack another wonderful horse here at RBR.

           Traveler

Traveler is a 1994 Arabian that was purchased about at New Holland Sales Auction. At the age of 7, he was introduced to Endurance racing and had a lot of success. His accomplishments include 3rd place in the Fort Valley 50 and 6th place in his first ever Old Dominion 100. He is not a very large horse but he has more heart and strength then most horses at the Red Buffalo. He is normally used now for more experienced riders.

           Piper

Piper is a 2001 bay colored Arabian. Piper is an active participant in Red Buffalo’s endurance team with his rider, Nicole.

           Ty

Ty is a 2003 bay wild mustang. Ty was captured in Elko, Nevada as a yearling and shipped east from auction to auction until he arrived in Pennsylvania. Mike was interested in purchasing a wild mustang and went to the auction and found Ty running around in a corral. Upon buying him, Ty had never interacted with people before which made for interesting interactions. Today, Ty is active in endurance with Alex, an RBR employee.

           Easey

Easey is a chestnut draft cross. A favorite amongst Red Buffalo customers, he loves to be ridden.

           Chip

Chip is a quarter horse whom you are guaranteed to enjoy. He was purchased at New Holland and has been at Red Buffalo Ranch since 2008.

           Texas

Texas is a ranch favorite. An experienced bay quarter horse that loves to be ridden.
